New Year's trip to the north and east of Serbia. We flew to Belgrade, where we started our route by car, the first stop was Novi Sad, a quiet city on the banks of the Danube with a very beautiful fortress and historic center, as well as being next to the Fruska Gora National Park. Here we tried Burek for the first time in Serbia (they have all kinds: cheese, potato, pizza, apple...). Our route continued north until we reached Subotika, a beautiful city on the border with Hungary famous for its Art Nouveau buildings, where the synagogue stands out above the rest (spectacular inside and out). The next stop required crossing the border with Romania; Timisoara. What a beautiful city! Nothing to envy to large European capitals. In addition, we came across a very spectacular festival: Lightfestival, which filled the entire city with light and techno. We returned to Serbia to marvel at Golubac Castle and soak up the history and culture in Belgrade.
