NAMIBIA
June 2022
Road trip with a 4x4 campervan through Namibia. We started our adventure in Windhoek to head south, specifically to the Namib desert (already on the way we saw giraffes, gazelles, cape oryx... and it was just a simple road) where we were amazed by Deadvlei and its ghost forest. The next stop was the coast, specifically Walvis Bay and Cape Cross, where we were able to marvel at two impressive colonies of lesser flamingos and seals, as well as breathtaking sunsets. From the coast we drove along roads engulfed in a sandstorm and through dry rivers that seemed like a desert until we reached Spitzkoppe and Grootberg, where we met the Himba and Damara culture, saw ancient petroglyphs and enjoyed incredible landscapes of Damaraland. Our next stop was none other than the incredible Etosha N.P. with its famous salt pan, and really everything we had read fell short with the beauty of this place. We saw all kinds of animals; herds of more than 70 elephants, countless giraffes, cheetahs hunting, all kinds of antelopes, birds, snakes and the long-awaited black rhino, speechless.
After leaving Etosha, we headed south to Otjiwarongo where we visited the Cheetah Conservation Found and learned the importance of educating farmers well to ensure the future of this species.
Our trip ended where it began, Windhoek, but we left with the feeling of having enjoyed an authentic, calm and happy country.

Most visited bar in Windhoek. Offers an excellent variety of beers and lots of good places to take it. The food its OK, but the vibes are really good.

Windhoek, Namibia.
Elegant restaurant with a very nice terrace. The food is really good, but don't expect to find African specialties

Otjiwarongo, Namibia.
Curious restaurant located in a beautiful garden of a crocodile farm. Most of the dishes are based on meat from their farm. It's not a great place to eat, but it's different from the rest.
