POLAND

April 2023

Easter roadtrip around Poland. Our first stop was Krakow, where we can feel the the horrible past that Poles and Jews endured during the second world war, also we enjoy with an incredibly beautiful city,  how surprising it was preserved very well during the war. Here provably we try the best food in Poland and also the most liveliest nightlife. Two hours to the south by car we found Zakopane, our base camp to discover the Tatras National Park. We were very cold because it snowed both days, but the landscapes and treks were incredible.

Next stop was Auschwitz-Birkenau, here we were able to feel the Holocaust first hand, without words.

During the next two days we visited Wroclaw and Warsaw; The first one surprised us a lot, in fact it was the city that we liked the most (along with Krakow). The city center, riverside and the aula leopoldina were amazing.

The last stop was the Białowieża National Park, the goal was to see the last wild European Bison, and we did! Although we had to get up very early (and get cold). We also saw white storks, roe and red deer, moose and an endless number of birds. Apart from the wild animals, the hiking trails through this National Park in the border with Belarus never cease to amaze you, simply a wonder of nature.
