EGYPT
November 2021
Ten-day trip through Egypt, trying to immerse ourselves as much as possible in its incredible history and culture. We started the trip enjoying the huge city of Cairo, experiencing its contrasts and chaotic traffic. We soaked up history in the great Egyptian Museum, took the subway to the mind-blowing Coptic walled quarter, absorbed Arab culture in the Islamic quarter, and enjoyed Koshari at Abu Tarek.
We continued our adventure discovering the Bahariya Oasis and the White Desert National Park, where we camped in a bivouac and enjoyed eating grilled chicken and rice under the moonlight.
Before leaving for the south, we spent a whole morning at the pyramids and the Sphinx. What a marvel! They impressed me more than I expected.
Our boat trip started in Aswan, from where we traveled by car to Abu Simbel on the border with Sudan. From Aswan, we enjoyed the Nile River and its contrasts with the desert, visiting the most spectacular and important temples before ending in Luxor and returning to Cairo.

Cairo, Egypt.
Local restaurant serving only Koshari and homemade desserts. They just prepared the dish for you at the same table. Highly recommended.
