MALTA

April 2024

Four-day trip to Malta. We stayed in the old town of Valletta and from there we visited the most notable parts of the country. The first area we discovered was the capital itself, with its ancient streets filled with churches at every corner, ups and downs, cobblestone streets... making it a truly beautiful and peaceful place (as long as you go off-season). Having an Aperol at sunset never disappoints and gives you a different perspective on life. The next day we explored the west coast, specifically Golden Bay, which we found truly spectacular, with beaches featuring a thousand and one shades of turquoise, stunning cliffs, and absolute tranquility. In the interior, Mdina takes the top spot, a very small but truly beautiful village, and it also has what is considered the best place to try Pastizzi. The southern area stands out, apart from the famous Blue Grotto, for the little village of Marsaxlokk, specifically the restaurant La Capanna; I am not exaggerating when I say it is one of the best I have ever tried! Malta pleasantly surprised us, probably because we visited outside the high season when cruise ships flood this beautiful Mediterranean country.

7.5

Mgarr, Malta.

A restaurant with an excellent location, right on the beachfront. The atmosphere is fantastic, but on the other hand, the food is good but not excellent. A bit pricey.

La Valeta, Malta.

Pizzeria in the old town of Valletta, it is a very beautiful underground place. The pizza is very good, highly recommended to come and eat here.

Marsaxlokk, Malta.

A restaurant specializing in fish and seafood. You really can't come to Malta without trying this place; the dishes are spectacular, and you can tell everything is fresh and made to order.

La Valeta, Malta.

Pizzeria with a spectacular location, but the food is nothing special. Just taking a photo is enough.
